EVENT HORIZON
EVENT HORIZON for Large Orchestra
Composed in 1989 during my doctoral studies at the Cleveland Institute of Music, this work is an aural representation of the immense, sometimes explosive forces of gravity which constantly form and transform the cosmos.
About 90 musicians of the Cleveland Institute of Music Symphony Orchestra participated in this world premiere performance of the work.
This visualization of the work was produced this past year after decades of researching and gathering photos and videos from NASA and other aerospace and astronomical centers.
